Two Day Sculpture Workshop 17th & 18th September

The two day sculpture workshop can be used to create larger or multiple sculptures such as Boxing Hares, Giacometti inspired pieces, or your own design.

Although no previous experience is needed, we will be using most of the techniques used in the one day Hare Sculpture Workshop, so if you have attended one of those you will be in the best position to make the most of the weekend.

We start with steel stands and build up the sculpture with wire armatures, Mod Roc and plaster.  The size of the steel stand can be adapted to your ideas as these become the strength and 'backbone' of the piece.  For bespoke stands I would need at least two weeks notice to allow for welding etc.  For some sculptures there will be an extra charge for steel work and welding prepared prior to your weekend.  Please contact Jo on 07534 016688 to discuss further.  An example price is £75 for the steel work and welding required for the over 7 foot sculpture 'Balance'.  'Balance' can be made in smaller sizes and the price will adjust accordining.  Please ensure they can fit into your vehicle! 

I would discuss ideas prior to the workshop to ensure you can start immediately on your masterpiece.  

We can provide plaster which is water resistant so your sculpture can be placed in your garden or on your patio.

There is plenty of tea, coffee, water and biscuits available throughout the day.  Lunch is an hour, please bring your own packed lunch or pop to the award-winning Hillcrest Deli & Café 5 minutes’ drive away.  

Our workshops are friendly, fun and relaxing.  They are suitable for all abilities and age groups (children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult). 

Two day workshop numbers are minimum of 3 and maximum of 5.
