Two Day Sculpture Workshop Fri 6th & Sat 7th May

The two day sculpture workshop can be used to create larger sculptures such as Large Hares, Cats, Dogs, Giacometti inspired pieces, or your own design.  You do not need any knowledge of sculpting - Jo will have planned your project and will guide you through each step.

Although no previous experience is needed, we will be using most of the techniques used in the one day Hare Sculpture Workshop, so if you have attended one of those you will be in the best position to make the most of the two day workshop.

We start with steel stands and build up the sculpture with wire armatures, Mod Roc and plaster.  The size of the steel stand can be adapted to your ideas as these become the strength and 'backbone' of the piece.  For bespoke stands we would need at least four weeks notice to allow for design, welding etc.  The workshop price includes the equivalent materials of a large moongazing hare.  For any other sculpture there will be an extra charge for steel work, armature preparation and additional materials.   Typically, the price ranges between £50 - £100 and will be discussed with you prior to finalising.  Please ensure your sculpture idea can fit into your vehicle!   

All  bespoke sculpture ideas will be assessed for 'doability' on a two day workshop and priced for armature/materials prior to your commitment.  Please contact Jo on 07534 016688 to discuss further. 

Unless made with clay, your sculpture will be weather resistant so can live on your patio or in your garden.

There is plenty of tea, coffee, water and chocolate available throughout the day.  Please bring your own packed lunch (microwave, oven, toaster, crockery & cutlery available).  

Our workshops are friendly, fun and relaxing and suitable for all abilities and age groups over 14 (children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult).   The studio is spacious and bright, set in beautiful quiet countryside just outside the village of Hepworth on the Suffolk / Norfolk border.  It's within easy reach of Norwich, Bury St Edmunds and Cambridge for those of you having a holiday break.  Parking is on-site.

Two day workshop numbers are minimum of 2 and maximum of 4.  Please note that cancellation/postponement notice is a minimum of 8 weeks.
