About the event
The two day sculpture workshop can be used to create larger sculptures such as Large Hares, Cats, Dogs, Giacometti inspired pieces, or your own design. You do not need any knowledge of sculpting - Jo will have planned your project and will guide you through each step.
Although no previous experience is needed, we will be using most of the techniques used in the one day Hare Sculpture Workshop, so if you have attended one of those you will be in the best position to make the most of the two day workshop.
We start with steel stands and build up the sculpture with wire armatures, Mod Roc and plaster. The size of the steel stand can be adapted to your ideas as these become the strength and 'backbone' of the piece.
