If your small, medium or large hare has had an accident, it’s easily repaired and will look as good as new.

What often happens is well-fed pigeons land on ears, bounce up and down and eventually create a breakage.  Or, like me, you can drive into it with a sit-on lawn mower 😆.  The wire and metal ‘armature’ inside your sculpture will usually stop whole limbs etc falling off.   Even drastic breaks can usually be fixed.   

Once the breaks are mended using the plaster, the kit contains enough paint & gilt finish to cover the entire sculpture which leaves it looking like new.

Within the kit is a piece of foil (sometimes needed to ‘pack’ into a big gap), weatherproof plaster, a pot of paint, paint brush, gilt finish & sponge to bring back the lustre.  You will need a yoghurt pot (or similar) and spoon to mix the plaster in.  If your breaks fit together cleanly when you hold the broken pieces, you can use some superglue to start the mending process.  Superglue is not included in the kit due to legislation issues.

As well as mending breaks, there is enough plaster to reinforce joints etc or even change features all together.  The plaster 'sticks' to previously painted surfaces so no rubbing down is required.

The kit comes with written instructions and photos, plus you can see a video of me mending a small leaping hare sculpture on the Videos page of my website.  By the way, to create the kit written instructions with photos, I actually hit one of my sculptures with a hammer so I had something to mend 😂🤣😂.

There are two sizes of mending kits – one for a small hare, and the other for the medium / large version.  Price is £20 for the Medium/Large Hare Mending Kit and £15 for the Small Hare Mending Kit.  Price includes P&P.
